I used to be an insomniac. A worrier. A depressive filled with doubt.
However, a corner of my being was determined to seek answers. and bit-by-bit, I turned things around for myself. I changed my life.
It took a long time.
But it doesn’t have to be that way for you!
Let me show you the way toward a rested, energetic, peaceful, and happy life.
“Getting sleep coaching with Hilary has changed my life!”
“I used to dread going to bed because I knew I would have trouble falling and staying asleep until it was almost time for the alarm. Then I’d finally fall soundly asleep and not wake until late morning. If I did get up on time, overwhelming fatigue and sleepiness in the afternoons created havoc with my schedule.
Now I look forward to bedtime, knowing I’ll be relaxed and ready for sleep. I sleep soundly through the night and wake at a consistent time with energy for my day.
Hilary is an expert in the science of sleep as well as cognitive behavioral change. Her coaching style is gentle yet firm, knowledgeable and encouraging. She inspired me to take responsibility for the things I can control that lead to better sleep and a more productive life. Thank you, Hilary!

I first encountered sleeplessness when I’d lost my way in my career.
This was a challenging time for me. I was experiencing a lot of distress, unease, and hopelessness.
Accompanying this was crippling insomnia, visiting me every night, causing me to get very little sleep.
One fine spring day, I was walking along the street, when I had an insight that changed my life.
I thought “I have unlearned sleep – and that means that I can relearn it!”
So I set about to figure out how.
I discovered and changed the mental patterns that were interfering with sleep (and happiness).
I became aware of the behaviors I was indulging in, which were preventing sleep.
As I implemented these changes, I realized that our society is generally anti-sleep. It takes a certain diligence to pay attention to and prioritize sleep.
I discovered that sleep can be relearned.
What it takes is a counter-intuitive approach.
The behaviours and mental patterns that are a result of poor sleep need to be reversed. It’s a matter of becoming proactive rather than reactive.
Fun Facts About Me
I am a cat person
I love cats and feel they express the independent personality that I cherish. When I was a child I was read Ruyard Kipling’s “The Cat Who Walked By Himself” and my father would tell me that I was that cat.
Free to Learn & Be
I am passionate about my personal freedom.
Embracing adventure, I have traveled the world. I care about learning, growing and becoming a more healthy, balanced and kind human being.
I love being outdoors
I also appreciate the mystery of nighttime. I love to watch the sunset over the river near where I live, and then the dwindling light of dusk, shadows darkening, stars appearing.
